Perennial herbs. Stem erect, branched or unbranched, up to 100 cm. Leaves opposite, basal leaves oblong-spathulate, up to 10 x 3,5; cauline leaves similar to basal but smaller. Verticillasters up to 16-flowered. Calyx subcampanulate to tubular. Petals united, rose-pink, up to 20 mm. Fruit dry nutlets. Fl. May-September. Limestone slopes, steppe, flat meadows.
Endemic for Anatolia.
