Spinescent trees or shrubs up to 10 m, crown cylindrical to globose. Leaves fasciculate on older branches, alternate on new shoots, ovate to
orbicular, rarerly elliptic, coriaceous, glabrous. Inflorescence shortly racemose, at least 15-flowered. Sepals triangular acuminate. Petals free, white, 5-6, up to 12x7 mm. Fruit globose, reddish brown, c. 1 cm diameter. Seed 4, blackish-purple. Potential ornamental. Fl. March. Quercus-Pistacia voodland, fields, roadsides.
Endemic for Serik and vicinity.
