Erect shrubs, up to 150 cm. Leaves opposite, densely stellate-tomentose beneath; lower leaves triangular, ovatelanceolate, cordate at the base. Floral leaves oblong-lanceolate. Verticillasters 1-3, distant, up to 12-flowered. Calyx tubular, up to 27 mm. Petals united, upper lip brownish, lower lip yellow, up to 35 mm. Fruit dry nutlets. Potential ornamental.Fl. June-August. Limestone rocks, metamorphic slopes, macchie, Quercus scrub, fallow fields, s.l.
Endemic for South Anatolia.
