Leaves 2, first one (3-)5-12(-16) mm.broad, second one often less than half as broad, glabrous with smooth,rarely slight scabrid margin, I tinged purplisch, somewhat undulate, glaucous. Scape 4,5-15 cm.at anthesis, to 2 cm.in fruit. Raceme (3-) 10-15 (-25) flowered, lax to rather dense. Flowers 1 sesille or pedicels to 2 mm.perianth very dark blue-violet, ascending, (4)-5-6-(-6,5) mm.tubular to tubular-campanulate; Fl. February-May. Limestone qrowel Lillis with white marly soil, open Patches in pinus forest.
Endemic for South Anatolia.
