Lapwing is a wader with its long wispy crest and green back. It generally appears black and white, in flight its wings are broad and rounded like a butterfly. Its throat is black in breeding season, white in winter.

Habitat:It is common in farmland, grassland, marshy fields, moors, bogs and freshwaters. It feeds on insects and other small animals.
