L 3 1-33 cm, WS 47-55 cm.
It is a slim, long-tailed dove, pale buff with a black band onneck. It is almost Rock Dove size. Its body colour is ashbrown with blackish wing-tips. Its tail is white beneath with a black base.

Habitat:Collared Dove occurs commonly in parks, gardens, farms, villages. It nests on trees, in built-up areas and feeds on seeds, fruits and insects.
