L 46-5 I cm, WS 85-90cm.
It has brownish-red and black tippets in breeding season. In winter appears white in front and on cheeks. Its neck, breast and belly is white. It has white wing bar in flight.

Habitat:Shallow lakes. It occurs in open areas of freshwater throughout year, also coastal waters in winter. Great Crested Grebe nests in reedbeds and feeds on fish and other small aquatic animals.
