L 80-90 cm, WS I 15-130 cm.
Spoonbill is a large white bird with a long broad, spoon shaped, black bill. In breeding plumage, it has yellowish breast band, a long yellowish crest, black legs.

 

Habitat:Shallow lowland lakes, river deltas and coastal lagoons. It nests colonially in reedbeds, bushes or trees and feeds on small fish, insects, tadpoles and other small aquatic animals.
