L 80-100 cm, WS I 30-160 cm.
It is an all-dark seabird. It has white patch on face, yellow or orange-yellow throat pouch and green iris. Juvenile and immature birds have whitish throat.

Habitat:It disperses to coasts and also inlands in winter. It occurs inshore coastal waters, lakes and reservoirs. It breeds on cliffs and rocks and in trees. Cormorants feed on fish.
