L 25-27 cm, WS 65-70 cm. Its wings have Raven-black flight feathers and white band on secondary coverts. Its cheeks and neck is white. The tail is all black and legs are long and grey. It has a small spur at angle of wing.

 

Habitat:Spur-winged Plover is common beside lakes, marsh and river deltas, estuaries. It feeds on insects and other small animals.
