L 35-40 cm, WS 67-83 cm.
Long-winger Stilt is a shorebird with long pink legs and long straight black bill. Its wings are black beneath. Male's crown is black, female's is white. In autumn and winter, both sexes have grey crown and ear coverts.

 

Habitat:It occurs in fresh and brackish marshes and pools, also in saltmarshes and on shore, coastal lagoons. It nests on ground, usually in open area. It feeds on insects, larvae, molluscs and small fish.
