L 55-6.5 cm, WS 88-95 cm.
It is a white heron with black legs and bills and yellow feet. It has long crest and long wing plumes, blue-grey lores briefly turn orange in breeding season.

Habitat:It occurs commonly at shallow lakes, ponds and river deltas. Little Egret nests colonially with other herons in trees and feeds on fish and small animals.
