L 85-102 cm, WS 140-170 cm.
The largest white egret. It has no visible crest, but long wing plumes in breeding season. Its face skin is greenish, bill is yellow and legs are black. It has a black line behind eye.

 

Habitat:Great White Egrets occur at marshes, shallow, fresh and brackish water. It breeds at reedy lakes and feeds on fish.
