L 32-34 cm, WS 55-65 cm.
Its wings are pointed and tail is long. In flight it is fast and straight. Female has a tinge of brown in a band across breast. It often seen in flight.

Habitat:Cuckoo occurs commonly in most types of open country with element of bushes and trees. It feeds on insects, especially caterpillar.
