L 43-50 cm, WS 100-120 cm.
Male is uniformly blue-grey with darker head and breast. It has white upper tail coverts. Female and juvenile is brownish with distinct white upper tail-coverts. They have streaked underparts whitish or rusty-yellow.

 

Habitat:Hen Harrier occurs at steppes, open woodlands, marshes, reed-beds. It nests on open bogs and moors and feeds or rodents and small birds..
