L 48-55 cm, WS I 10-125 cm.
The most buzzard-like harrier with broader wings and havier flight than the others. Males are largely brown, grey only on wings and tail. Females have unbarred tail and pale head.

 

Habitat:It occurs at marshes, swamps, reed-beds. It feeds an all kinds of small animals and birds and nests in reedbeds.
