L 12cm.
A small yellow-green finch with yellow patches at base of tail. It has yellow rump. Male has black crown. Female and juvenile birds are less yellow and more streaked and have no black on head.

Habitat:It occurs in woodlands, thickets and gardens. It nests high in conifer and feeds on conifer seeds.
