L 18-19cm.
Skylark is a large brown lark with outer feathers in fairly long tail. Juvenile has no crest and shorter tail. It is identified by sustained, musical and aerial song. Its bill relatively short.

Habitat: It occurs in open, treeless country, farmland, grassland. It nests on ground and feeds on insects and other invertabrates, plant matter and seeds.
