Small shrubs. Stem erect, spreading or prostrate, up to 150 cm. Leaves alternate, adpressed imbricate when young, orbicular-ovate or ovate-lanceolate, up to 5 x 3 mm. Flowers terminal. Calyx absent. Corolla tubular, yellow within lobes ovate. Fruit dry. Fl. September-December. Sandy and stony places, especially nr. sea.
Mediterranean area.
