Hairless perennial stem branched, up to 80 cm. Leaves ovate lanceolate, lanceolate or obovate. Inflorescence a compound dichasium. Calyx inflated, up to 21 mm. Petal white, deeply bipartite. Anthophore 2-4bn mm. Capsule ovoid - globose, included in the calyx. Fl. May - August. Scrub, slopes, open places.
