Cormous perennial herbs, up to f5 cm. Leaves up to 7, mostly recurved and adpressed to soil or straight and erect, up to 15 cm long. Scape i -6-flowered. Perianth united, yellow, up to 3,5 cm; tube hairy, up to 8 mm, throat yellow to orange; segments elliptic-oblanceolate. Fruit a capsule. Potential ornamental. Fl. February-June. Fixed dunes in open forest (Pinus pinea, P. brutia), s.l.
