Short, adpressed-pilose to subsericeous. Root tubers oblong-fusiform, 1-2 cm. Stems divaricately, usually 2-9 - flowered. Basal leaves 2-4-pinnatisect. Sepals strongly reflexed. Petals free, yellow, 5-7, oblong, up to 13 mm. Achenes persistent, tuberculate, glabrous, 3-4 mm; beak, 1-1,5 x achene. Fl. April. Sandy shores.
