Spinescent trees or shrubs up to 10 m, crown cylindrical to globose. Leaves fasciculate on older branches, alternate on new shoots, ovate to orbicular, rarerly elliptic, coriaceous, glabrous. Inflorescence shortly racemose, at least 15- flowered. Sepals triangular acuminate. Petals free, white, 5-6, up to 12 x 7 mm. Fruit globose, reddish brown, c. 1 cm diameter. Seed 4, blackish-purple. Potential ornamental. Fl. March. Quercus-Pistacia woodland, fields, roadsides.

Endemic for Serik and vicinity.
