petiolate, rounded or cuneate at base. Ochreae brown and with a ciliate margin. Inflorescence a lax spike. Perianth segments up to 2,5 mm. Petals white to pink, united at the below. Fruit a nut, brown, included in the perianth. Fl. June-September. Swamps near s.l.
Mediterranean area, Syrian Desert, Arabia.
