Nigella arvensis var.glauca(Çörek otu) (Acker-Schwarzkümmel) Ranunculaceae Annual. Stem glaucus up to 50 cm, usually branched. Leaves all alternate; cauline leaves pinnatisect, trisect or entire, leaflets linear, or oblong Petals free, pale blue, greyish or whitish, 20-28 mm, often green veined. Anthers yellowish, short or long mucronate. follicles 3-8 fused a half their length, each 3-veined; styles coiled when young; beak little longer or shorter than the follicles. Fl. June-August. Steppe. waste places, fields, etc. Widespead in S. Europe, N. Africa,&S.W Asia. |
