Annual herbs. Stem erect, slightly branched, up to 40 cm. Lower and median leaves opposite, upper often alternate, linear, up to 50 x 5 mm. Calyx lobes linear. Corolla gibbous at base, mauvish-pink, up to 12 mm. Capsule gibbous at base, up to 10 mm. Fl. April- June. Rocky limestone slopes, fallow fields, cemeteries, s.l.
