Lotus halophilus var. Hhalophilus (Sepik, Gazel boynuzu) (Hornklee) Leguminosae (fabaceae) Annual herbs. Stem prostrate, up to 12 cm. Leaves pinnate, alternate; leaflets ovate, obovate or rhomboid. Inflorescence umbellate, 1-2-flowered. Calyx distinctly bilabiate. Petals free at base, pale yellow, up to 8 mm. Legume up to 40 x!5 mm, slightly flattened and torulose. Fl. March-April. Sandy soils and dunes nr. S.I. Türkiye, Balkans, Cyprus, W. Syria, Syrian Desert, Iran, Sinai, N.W. Africa. |
