Creeping and trailing perennial herbs, often rooting at the nodes.
Leaves alternate, fleshy, oblong, entire to 3-5- lobed, with a heart-shaped at the base. Flowers solitary. Corolla trumpet-shaped, white to cream, up to 6 cm. Fruit a capsule. Potential ornamental. Leaves, dried, crushed and mixed with honey are used as laxative. Fl. June-September.
