(HELIOTROPE) (Siğil otu, Bambıl) (Sonnenwende) Boraginaceae Annual herbs. Stem generally branched, up to 60 cm. Leaves alternate, ovate to ovate-lanceolate. Inflorescence cymes, and many-flowered. Calyx sessile, up to 3,5 mm. Corolla usually with distinct tube, white, up to 5 mm. Fruit usually 4 nutlets. Nutlets glabrous, tuberculate. Leaves are used as wart healing. Fl. May-October. Fields and fields margins, waste ground, gravel banks, s.l. Türkiye, Bulgaria, Greece, Aegean, N. Africa, Syria, Palestine. |
