Cormous perennial herbs. Stem erect, up to 55 cm. Leaves 4; lamina linear, 10 mm broad. Inflorescence lax spike, up to 10-flowered. Perianth rose-pink or deep cerise-pink; tube slightly curved; segments rhombic, elliptic or obovate, up to 30 mm. Fruit an ellipsoidal capsule; seeds winged. Potential ornamental. Fl. April-June. Rocky limestone slopes, Pinus nigra forest, coastal phrgana, nr rivers, s.l.
