Annual herbs. Stem rather robust, up to 15 cm. Leaves alternate; basal leaves trisect, terminal segment large, cauline leaves often more deeply divided. Bracts several, whitish. Sepals 8-10 mm. Petals free, levander-blue. Fruit schizocapric; beak of fruit 6-9 cm. Leaves edible. Fl. February-May. Rocky slopes, waste places.
