Annual herbs. Stem erect, branched, pubescent, up to 30 cm. Leaves alternate, 2-pinnate with narrowoblong entire or pinnatifid segments. Inflorescence an umbel, petals free, white or pinkish, small. Fruit little compressed, with hair-like spines on the primary ridges and longer, stout, patent spines. Fl.June-August.
Maritime sands, fields, vineyards.
