Erect or spreading shrubs, up to 1 m. Leaves opposite, exstipulate, ovate, oblong-ovate, suborbicular, up to 6 x 2 cm, broadly petiolate, green above. Cymes terminal, laxly 1-7-flowered. Petals free, pink, usually 3-5 cm. across. Stamens many, free, all fertile. Style as long as stamens. Fruit a loculicidal capsule, densely adpressed pilose. Potential ornamental. Fl. March-June. Macchie and garique.
