Suffruticose plant or shrubs. Stem trailing or occasionally climbing into large bushes, up to 8 m. Leaves opposite, ovate or broadly ovate, cordate at base, stalked, up to 10x8 cm. Inflorescence cymes, terminal and lateral. Calyx with 5 connate segments. Corolla white, rarerly pinkish or yellow, up to 12 mm diameter; corona segments free. Fruit a follicles, narrowly-ovoid. Poisionous. Fl. April-September.
