Biennial herbs. Stem much branched from near base, up to 80 cm. Leaves alternate, pinnatifid to pinnatipartite, not decurrent. Involucre ovoid to cup-shaped, up to 18 x 12 mm. Middle row of phyllaries with strong spines (16-20 mm). Flowers pale pink. Achenes up to 4 mm. Pappus absent. Potential ornamental. Fl. ]une-August. Fields, roadsides, waste land, s.l.
Endemic for Manavgat and Serik.
