Annual herbs. Stem erect, up to 60 cm. Leaves opposite, amplexicaul, ovate to triangular, up to 35 x 25 mm. Inflorescence a few -to many- flowered dichasial cyme. Calyx divided. Corolla yellow, rotate, up to 2,5 cm diameter. Fruit a capsule, dehiscing by 2 valves. Fl. June-July. Streamsides. dune slacks, damp slopes, s.l.
