Annual herbs. Stem simple or dichotomously branched above, up to 50 cm. Leaves alternate, oblanceolate or spathulate. Involucre hemisherical; phyllaries 2-3-seriate. Flowers yellow, daisy-like. Ligules up to 9 mm, pubescent. Disc flower tubular, up to 3 mm. Achenes ribbed. Pappus palaeceous. Fl. April-August. Near the coast on roadsides, saline soil and rock crevices, s.l.
Mediterranean area (extending to Portugal).
